Neurological Therapy
Reclaim Your Strength. Restore Your Balance. Rediscover Joy.
When you’ve experienced a stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, or other neurological condition, your world can shift in an instant. Suddenly, walking across the room, reaching for a glass of water, or getting out of bed feels unfamiliar, frustrating, or even impossible. You may find yourself mourning the loss of things that were once effortless like your balance, your coordination, your strength, and along with it, your independence, confidence, and dignity.

At Great Hope Neuro Physical Therapy, we see beyond the diagnosis. We see you: your goals, your grit, and your hope for something better.

Neurological rehabilitation is about much more than physical movement. It’s about restoring your connection to your life. Whether you're working to improve your mobility, reduce falls, regain function in a limb, or simply feel safe and steady again, we meet you where you are—with clinical expertise, compassion, and a plan tailored just for you.
How We Can Help You
Strength & Flexibility
Get into a habit of exercise that targets movement, strength, and flexibility to improve motion and prevent atrophy (loss of muscle).
Contracture & Spasticity Management
Provide training on preventing complications like joint deformities and safety issues related to spasticity (stiff muscles) and contractures and teach caregivers how to assist safely.
Cardiovascular Endurance
Develop cardiovascular and muscular conditioning exercises to improve overall endurance and stamina after stroke, cancer or other conditions.
Gait & Balance Training
Improve weight-bearing and confidence in the weak leg(s) to improve gait quality. Balance and stability training helps to reduce fall risk, helping you to regain your ability to balance.
Functional Training
Helps you to relearn daily activities like dressing, bathing, transferring to the bed or toilet, housework, working, and cooking with an emphasis on real-world tasks, called Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
Pain Management
Use techniques like manual therapy, stretching and other therapeutic techniques to get to the root cause of your pain and use modalities (e.g., heat, cold, electrical stimulation) to manage & ease pain.
Gross & Fine Motor Coordination
Use of tactile cuing to improve the brain’s ability to activate muscles again to improve control with grasp, dynamic balance, and improving the efficiency of movement.
DME & Wheelchair Assistance
Assess your functional needs and recommend the appropriate equipment, such as canes, walkers, wheelchairs, or orthotics. Aids in wheelchair prescription and fitting to help you get into a custom manual or electric wheelchair through collaborating with local DME vendors.
